The Georgia Department of Driver Services operates one driver’s license office in the county at 333 S. Ashley St. behind the Camden County Board of Education office in Kingsland. Vehicles must be registered within 30 days of moving to Georgia. The Camden County Courthouse Annex, 208 E. Fourth St. in Woodbine, handles all motor vehicle registration. Fees vary when registering out-of-state cars. Vehicles belonging to active duty military personnel and outof-state students are subject to different procedures. To register a vehicle, the owner should bring the title or finance papers, current out-of-state registration, name of insurance company and policy number, current odometer reading from the vehicle and identification on title transactions. Georgia law requires all auto tags be renewed by the owner’s birthday. Tags can be renewed up to 30 days prior to the birth date. Office hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
